It’s cloudy and overcast

as I peer out of the window,

winding my way to work.

I can’t see the sun

but I know it’s there

because I feel it.

I feel you.

Thoughts of playing hooky

enter my mind.

If we leave now,

we can book dual massages

at our favorite spa

and relax in bubbly hot water afterward.

Or, we can catch an early movie,

snuggling as we eat popcorn,

sipping syrupy sodas.

Or, there’s always our favorite museum-

there’s a new exhibit,

but the old ones will do just as well.

A lazy walk along the lake in the rain

sounds appealing too –

there’s a coffee shop at the end of the pier.

The possibilities are endless,

the prospects are all good.
